বঙ্গোপসাগরের গভীর সমুদ্রে মাছ ধরতে বের হয় চাঁন মাঝির নেতৃত্বে একদল অভিজ্ঞ জেলে। সমুদ্রের চেনা ছন্দে চলতে থাকা তাদের নৌকায় হঠাৎ একদিন জালে উঠে আসে রহস্যময় এক তরুণী। প্রথমে তাকে মৃত মনে হলেও, জ্ঞান ফিরে পাওয়ার পরও সে থাকে নির্বাক। ধীরে ধীরে জানা যায় তার নাম গুলতি।

তার আগমনের পর থেকেই বদলে যেতে থাকে নৌকার জীবন। মাছের অভাব, দুর্ভাগ্য আর একের পর এক অস্বাভাবিক ঘটনা ঘিরে ধরে জেলেদের। বিচ্ছিন্ন নৌকাটিতে ক্রমশ ঘনীভূত হয় অবিশ্বাস, কামনা, ক্ষমতার লড়াই ও সংঘাত।

চাঁন মাঝির কঠোর কর্তৃত্বের বিপরীতে গুলতি হয়ে ওঠে এক দুর্বোধ্য উপস্থিতি, যার পরিচয়, উদ্দেশ্য ও অস্তিত্ব নিয়ে জন্ম নেয় নানা প্রশ্ন।

Deep in the waters of the Bay of Bengal, a group of seasoned fishermen led by Chan Majhi sets sail into the vast, unforgiving sea. Life aboard their boat follows the familiar rhythm of the waves—until one day, a mysterious young woman is pulled from their fishing net. Presumed dead at first, she awakens, only to remain eerily silent. Her name is Gulti.

With her arrival, the sea begins to change, and so does the fate of the men aboard. The fish grow scarce. Misfortune takes hold. Strange and inexplicable events begin to unfold, turning their isolated vessel into a world of suspicion, desire, power, and violence.

As tensions rise and loyalties unravel, Gulti becomes an unsettling presence—an enigma caught between myth and reality. Who is she? Where did she come from? And what force has brought her into the lives of these men?

Directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, HAWA is an atmospheric cinematic odyssey where folklore meets mythology, the supernatural blurs with reality, and the sea holds secrets far beyond human understanding.
